The HDP600 CR100 prints onto larger, C100 size plastic identification cards. Use of this larger format provides several security advantages. C100 ID cards are easier to see at a distance; security professionals responsible for scanning crowds at larger events can see more quickly who is cleared to be present - and who is not. The larger size also provides more room on the card to add security features that combat counterfeiting.
Fargo’s next generation HDP600 High Definition Card Printer/Encoders are designed to print, encode, and laminate technology-rich ID cards. All HDP600 series ID printers employ High Definition Printing technology, which was designed specifically to print onto ID cards with surface irregularities caused by embedded electronics. The HDP600 CR100 prints images onto the underside of clear HDP Film, and then fuses the film to the blank plastic card using heat and pressure. The film extends to the edges of smart chips - and over the edge of the C100 sized card - with consistently perfect results.
The modular design of the HDP600 allows you to personalize cards as much or as little as you like. Optional magnetic encoders, e-card encoder/readers and a Card Lamination Module can be built into the printer, or added at a later date. The HDP600 CR100 already prints both front and back sides simultaneously; the modules are designed to allow encoding and laminating in the same single, continuous pass.
