Our IDsPlus Image Capture is an easy to use ActiveX Control for capturing still images from a variety of image sources. The control uses DirectShow component of DirectX 9.0 to communicate with web cameras, digital camcorders, video capture cards, and TV Cards

 
Features
Some of the features include:

Define the viewable area of the video stream.
Capture the aspect size and position.
Adjust video properties including brightness, contrast and color.
Select video inputs, operate camcorder and TV controls.
Seek and adjust playback speeds.
Captured images are 24-bit BMP files. 
Save the image to a file and/or retrieve the captured image from the controls image property.

IDsPlus Image Capture Control requires DirectX 9.0 (Minimum) for full functionality.

IDsPlus Image Capture Control has been tested with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP.

Windows 95 and NT are not supported. 

Only video streams are rendered (Audio is not rendered).

Included are full application code samples for: C++ Visual Studio 7 C#  .NET Visual Basic .NET Visual Basic Version 6. 

The demo control will place red lines in the captured image but is otherwise unrestricted. Purchasing and installing the live version of IDsPlus Image Capture Control removes this restriction.
